Professional Experience
Rachel began her career at a large law firm in Oklahoma City, advising clients on business transactions and regulatory compliance matters, but she quickly developed a passion for litigation. Prior to joining HB Law, Rachel gained extensive experience representing clients in contract disputes, real estate/construction disputes, healthcare disputes, and other commercial/business disputes. She has also represented companies and individuals facing federal investigations—both criminal and civil—related to insider trading, securities fraud, health care fraud, and False Claims Act violations.
Rachel’s passion for litigation eventually led her to join the team of trial lawyers at HB Law. Because of her diverse experience in all phases of litigation, she is an effective advocate both in and out of the courtroom, from pre-lawsuit to appeal. She frequently handles individual and business disputes, real estate and construction disputes, and personal injury matters, while maintaining her practice in post-conviction criminal appeals. She appears for clients in state and federal courts and handles numerous appeals, including those before the Oklahoma Supreme Court, Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Education
Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 2011 from Texas A&M University. She then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2015. While attending law school, she also received her Master of Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma College of Public Health. Her understanding of the healthcare system makes her uniquely situated to advocate on behalf of Oklahoma healthcare professionals.
Personal
Rachel met her husband, Justin, while she was attending law school in Oklahoma. In 2017, Rachel and Justin put roots down in Washington, Oklahoma, where they now enjoy small-town life with their two daughters.
