Practice Manager/Legal Assistant
Rachel is an experienced Legal Assistant who has spent more than 15 years working closely with attorneys, clients, judges, and courthouse staff on a wide variety of legal matters, including criminal and civil cases. She also has experience working with medical providers and health insurers on personal injury cases.
Rachel started with HB Law in 2020 as a Legal Assistant but quickly expanded her role to include managing the firm’s litigation matters, conducting prospective client interviews, developing and streamlining the firm’s client intake process, and preparing the necessary information and documents for the firm’s case evaluation process.
She regularly communicates with clients and other attorneys regarding the case status and procedure, and she is skilled at preparing motions, exhibits, and other court filings.
Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology of Law, Criminology and Justice from the University of Minnesota. Prior to entering the legal field, she worked in banking for 10 years. She and her husband, Grant, have two boys, two dogs, a cat, a snake, a leopard gecko, and quite a few chickens. Her colleagues at HB Law like to tease her about her love for all things scrapbooking, including the scrapbook retreats she takes a few times a year. Rachel also really enjoys concerts and mountain biking with her family (and then scrapbooking the resulting pictures).
